ML-04-02 Integrated Functionality of Applications

The figure above shows the way in which applications interact with each other on applications. Most communication and interaction applications share a common “Contacts” database that is maintained through the use of the Contacts application on your mobile device. The contacts database is very important and must be managed well. Make sure you use full and correct names for people. Add email addresses, mobile numbers and physical addresses where possible:

• Email addresses enable sharing of emails and content from others applications
• Mobile numbers enable calling on cellular networks, as well as ability to connect with and share content from other communication applications: Example – WhatsApp
• Physical addresses allow integration with Map applications to help you plan your routes, and allow you to consider travel time needed for meetings etc.

In short, the more complete your contact records are, the better you can interact and communicate, as well as share content from other applications when needed.
