The whole basis of current management and leadership practice is founded on the theory of closed systems i.e. machines. But we’re not machines. We’re living “things” or open systems. Organizations are made up of these living “things”. This means we need to understand more about open systems and how to work within such systems. We need to transform our thinking about the world and about organizations and people.
