At a high level, one could argue that there are different delivery methods for teaching and learning scenarios. Put simplistically, one may consider face-to-face teaching, blended learning approaches, and online as distinct. In reality, this is not the case.
When teaching face-to-face, course participants may be expected to prepare for a lesson, do work outside of the class environment etc. In an online environment there may be live (virtual) face-to-face meetings, discussions etc.
