CLE3.1-06 Conclusion

Having worked through the discussion videos, and hopefully having taken the reflection exercises seriously, you should be in a position to:

• Understand where you are on your journey in terms of leveraging technology to support teaching and learning
• Have some idea of gaps in your confidence and competency and have identified areas for self-improvement and development
• Consider the TPACK model and in particular the knowledge domain intersections and how you can best align your teaching methods, subject matter and appropriate relevant technology

You are the master of your own journey. As an educator, you should set the example in terms of life-long learning and your continued professional development. You should also demonstrate, in your teaching activities, the ability to exploit new teaching methods and technology developments where they makes sense and adds value

Do not pursue technology for techology’s sake. Be open to the new possible, the enhancement that new technology developments can bring to the processes associated with teaching and learning.
