SAMR Model
TPACK Framework

Time to Reflect

SAMR Model -Identify examples in your teaching where you applied technology at each of the SAMR levels:

  • Substitution
  • Augmentation
  • Modification
  • Redefinition

TPACK Framework – Identify examples in your teaching practice where you have benefited from understanding and exploiting the TPACK relationships between adjacent knowledge domains. The goal in all scenarios would be to make use of the best possible teaching method, the most appropriate content, and the optimal use of available technology to maximise learning outcome potential.

PK and CK (Pedagogy and Content)

  • Applying the most appropriate teaching method based on the nature of the subject matter
  • Adapting the subject matter (using appropriate content) based on the chosen teaching method

TK and CK (Technology and Content)

  • Applied the most appropriate technology to best develop, source, and prepare course content
  • Adapted your content as a result of what technology has now made possible and was not achievable before

TK and PK (Technology and Pedagogy)

  • Apply appropriate technology to support chosen teaching method
  • Enhance teaching methods based on available technology
